Luis Ortiz rents two-bedroom pad at Moinian’s Sky

Asking rent at “Million Dollar Listing” star’s unit was $6,500 a month

UPDATED: Feb. 26, 3:37 p.m.: While his “Million Dollar Listing New York” colleagues have been purchasing splashy penthouses in Manhattan, Douglas Elliman broker Luis Ortiz has gone the rental route, renting a two-bedroom pad at the Moinan Group’s Sky building.

Ortiz took a 970-square-foot apartment at the building, located at 605 West 42nd Street. Asking rent was $6,500 a month, the New York Post reported.

Moinian’s 71-story, 1,175-unit Hell’s Kitchen tower was completed last year, and is marketed by Douglas Elliman New Development Marketing. Bold New York is handling leasing. The building is packed with amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a pet spa, a regulation basketball court, a Turkish bath, and a bike valet.

His more senior castmates, Fredrik Eklund and Ryan Serhant, opted to buy their own pads, at One Madison and 22 Renwick Street respectively.

Ortiz joined both Douglas Elliman and the Bravo show in 2013. He was booted from Keller Williams NYC soon after he joined the cast, with the brokerage citing “the sensationalism of reality TV.”   [NYP] – Ariel Stulberg
