Businessman and George H.W. Bush pal Bruce Gelb wants $65 million for his 15-room aerie at 1060 Fifth Avenue.

Gelb was also a former Commissioner for the United Nations and the United States Ambassador to Belgium under Bush.

Gelb was also the vice chairman of the Board of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and president of hair giant Clairol. He met Bush when they both attended Phillips Academy Andover, a prep school in Massachusetts.

He’s tapped broker Dolly Lenz to market the listing.

Gelb’s wife, Lueza Gelb, died earlier this year. It wasn’t immediately clear why he was looking to sell the co-op unit, which he and Lueza had owned for several decades.

The six-bedroom apartment has panoramic views of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park, a library, a dining room and a corner living space. The prewar co-op building has a duplex health club, a lap pool and a basketball court.

Scott Bommer, founder of hedge fund SAB Capital, set a record for the building in 2007, when he sold his duplex at the property for $48.9 million, after buying it only seven months earlier for $46 million.
