Indie music tycoon pays $2M for BK townhouse with controversial past

The development was previously the site of the famous “Broken Angel House”

From Luxury Listings NYC: Indie music producer Darius Van Arman has purchased a townhouse in the controversial development at 8 Downing Street in Clinton Hill for $2.3 million.

The development, which also includes 4 Downing Street, was previously the site of the famous “Broken Angel House,” where the artist Arthur Wood transformed an abandoned building into a livable piece of art for himself, his late wife and their children. After a fire in 2006, Wood was evicted from the home after losing a long battle to keep it. [more]
