Julia Louis Dreyfus’ stepmom lists Fifth Avenue co-op for $19M

In case you weren’t aware, “Veep” star Julia Louis Dreyfus comes from a rich family — a very, very rich family. The actress and comedian is the daughter of William Louis Dreyfus, the French businessman who is the founder of the Louis Dreyfus Group and estimated to be worth $3.4 billion.

Now, it looks like his wife (and her stepmother), Phyllis B. Louis-Dreyfus, is listing a full-floor co-op at 1125 Fifth Avenue for $19 million. The listing comes on the heels of Phyllis’ purchase of another (presumably smaller) apartment in the same building, which she bought for $8.95 million at the end of August.

The massive apartment she is listing has twelve rooms, including five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. It comes with 50-feet of Central Park views, a library and an eat-in kitchen. As big and grand as the apartment is, some rooms in it do look a bit shabby –especially the kitchen — and the whole place looks like it could use a renovation. We’re sure someone’s going to have a lot of fun arguing with the co-op board over the changes!

Phyllis paid $12 million for the apartment, which city records show she bought from William in 2009.
