Hipster amenities woo buyers in Williamsburg

How could you even live in a building without a “jam room”?

New images of the far-out amenities at Austin Nichols House in Williamsburg are here. We’re talking multiple fire pits, on-site SoulCycle, co-working spaces, a café and jam rooms.

In 2010, the warehouse at 184 Kent Avenue was converted into 338 rental units. But now, it’s being converted into 250 luxury condos. Sales launched in May, and to draw buyers, the building is advertising some very “Brooklyn” amenities, according to Curbed.

According to the building’s promotional material, the building boasts a “360 degree recreational experience.” In English that means a catering kitchen, a waterfront fitness center designed with on-site SoulCycle, co-working spaces, jam rooms, a movie theater, a café and a playroom.

But one of the development’s most striking amenities is perhaps its massive green wall with 25 species of plants.
