The Stagg Group filed plans Monday for a 163-unit apartment building at 150 Van Cortlandt Avenue East in the Bronx.

The 13-story building will span just over 134,000 square feet, including more than 5,000 square feet of community space in the basement. Marin Architects is the architect of record.

The Westchester-based development firm had bought the lot in the Bronx’ Bedford Park section for $7.1 million in March 2015, with $7.5 million in financing from an unnamed private lender. An executive at the firm did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

Stagg TRData LogoTINY is one of the Bronx’ most active developers, coming in fifth in TRD’s September 2015 ranking. Last year, it filed plans for a 116-apartment building in the Norwood neighborhood.

The Bronx has seen an uptick in residential construction activity in recent years, with developers betting the borough will attract a growing number of New Yorkers priced out of Manhattan or Brooklyn.
