Could this be the solution to the Hamptons’ outrageous real estate prices? Native Hamptonites Jessica and Mark Dunkirk hosted two “well-attended” open houses this month for their under 300-square-foot micro spec homes on the East End, 27East reported. One of their developments, The Montauk was met with “oohs and ahhs,” according to the local paper. It features a rain shower that’s right next to a walk-in closet, electric fireplace, and separate living and dining areas. “Tiny houses give many people the opportunity to own their own home,” Mark Dunkirk said. “They may not have had that before with the outrageous prices of homes on Long Island.” [27East]
