Le Pain Quotidien CEO buys UWS spread with private roof terrace for $3M

Give us this day our daily Upper West Side spread. Doug Satzman, the CEO of everyone’s favorite fancy lunch spot, Le Pain Quotidien, and his wife, Heather Bolen, have just bought themselves a rather fancy pad at 309 West 86th Street for $2.88 million, per city records.

The pre-war duplex apartment has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms spread over the two floors, plus wooden cabinets and marble countertops in the kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, and city and Hudson River views. The crown jewel of the apartment, though, is its private roof terrace, where we imagine Satzman and his wife will enjoy many a fine feast of overpriced baked goods. Satzman became the US CEO of Le Pain Quotidien in 2016, after working for 14 years at Starbucks, where he was the Senior Vice President of Business Development and License Retail Operations.
