NYC’s top real estate events next week

The Real Estate Board of New York is set to hold its 19th annual award ceremony for the most ingenious and most significant retail deals of the year on Tuesday, June 13, at 101 Park Avenue. There are 14 deals in the running for top honor. Agents vying for the awards include CBRE’s Lon Rubackin and Gary Trock, who brought National Geographic to 226 West 44th Street, and Joanne Podell of Cushman & Wakefield who brought Nike to 650 Fifth Avenue.

Business publisher Crain’s is hosting its 2017 Real Estate Conference on Wednesday, June 14 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. SL Green Realty CEO Marc Holliday will appear as the keynote speaker. The event also includes two panels, with speakers including John Degnan, chair of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Marty Burger, CEO of Silverstein Properties.

Other events next week include the Non-traded REITs and Retail Alternative Investment Symposium, on Monday and Tuesday, June 12 and 13 at the New York Hilton, and the Women’s Forum on Wednesday, June 14 at the New York City Bar Association, hosted by EisnerAmper, Real Estate Weekly and CREW New York. Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen will deliver the keynote address.

For bankers, there is the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York’s 2017 Annual Strategic Real Estate & Lending Summit. The featured speaker will be AnneMarie DiCola, CEO of CMBS data firm Trepp.
