Looks like a little bit of history goes a long way. Less than a month after hitting the market, the Frank Cartwright house in East Hampton is in contract to sell, Curbed reported. The 1.5-acre property, listed for $4.95 million, features three dwellings. The main home and a converted guest house — which originally functioned as an icehouse — were built in 1885. Those Queen Anne-style structures and an additional guest house constructed in 1908 add up to 5,050 square feet, with eight bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms on the property. Frank Cartwright was a famous mason and is buried in the nearby South End Cemetery. [Curbed]
