Protestor armed with a projector takes aim at Trump Hotel: VIDEO

This week, guests at Trump’s D.C. hotel were greeted with the words: “The president of the United States is a known racist and a Nazi sympathizer. This is not a drill.”

Using a projector to beam the words onto the façade of the hotel, artist and anti-Trump protestor Robin Bell connected Trump’s real estate to his politics.

“I was trying to figure out the most straightforward way to talk about what’s going on,” Bell tells Gothamist. “The president is a known racist, that’s well-beyond documented, and he’s clearly shown himself to be a Nazi sympathizer.”

The stunt is the latest in a series of similar projections that were cast at three separate locations in D.C. this week.

“We wanted to make a message that was so concretely clear and 100 percent factual, and that in itself is heartbreaking,” Bell added. “I think at this point we can all clearly say this is where we’re at … It’s a sad day, but that’s really what is going on.”
