These are the top NYC real estate events happening next week

With Labor Day in the rear view mirror, there are finally some real estate events worth checking out.

The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) is hosting its “Gamechanger” panel on Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Arena, 135 West 41st Street. Speakers include Paul Moya, CEO of Millennial Labs and Frederik Eklund, star of Million Dollar Listing New York. They will explore the benefits of social media in the real estate arena.

Also next week, the CRE Finance Council is hosting an after-work education session for young professionals on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Paul Hastings, 200 Park Avenue. The event is entitled, “The Current Challenges Facing Transitional/Alternative Lenders in Commercial Real Estate,” and will feature a one-hour panel and networking session. Ethan Lebowitz of Pine River Capital Management, Mike Oster of Morgan Stanley, Jason Ruckman of TPG Capital and Scott Singer of Singer & Bassuk Organization will serve as panelists.

Finally, there’s IMN Real Estate’s “Sixth Annual Real Estate CFO and COO Forum” on Monday, Sept. 18 through Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the Marriott New York Downtown, 85 West Street. Day one begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. Day two picks up 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. At the event, hear from industry pros share best practices and industry developments. Elisa Adam of Miller Global Properties LLC, Jim Ambrosini of CohnReznick LLP, Ramon Bauza of Macquarie Group and Jeff Carswell of The Shidler Group will lead the discussions, alongside other real estate professionals.
