Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead lands East Hampton home

Colson Whitehead, author of “The Underground Railroad,” which garnered the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award among other honors, is now an East Hamptonite, having recently purchased a sleek, modern home in East Hampton that was last asking $2.3 million, according to Behind the Hedges. Whitehead and his wife, literary agent Julie Barer purchased 107 Swamp Road in the Northwest Woods neighborhood. The 4,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms, three baths and two offices lined with bookshelves and is set on two acres with a pool.
