A top aide to ex-New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver who went to work at Kushner Companies after her boss got convicted on corruption charges in 2015 is no longer with the real estate firm.

Judy Rapfogel, who went to work for Kushner as a property manger in April 2016, no longer works for firm, the Daily News reported.

Rapfogel could not be reached by the paper for comment, and a spokesperson for Kushner said that “as a matter of policy we don’t generally comment on personal matters.”

Rapfogel was once among the highest-paid workers on the state payroll as Silver’s chief of staff, and receives an annual state pension of $115,889, the Daily News reported. She is the wife of William Rapfogel, who once headed the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty before he was convicted in 2014 for stealing from the charity.

Her husband was granted a “merit release” in May after serving less than three years of his term in state prison.

City Councilman David Greenfield, chair of the land use committee, is leaving the council to take the job as head of the Met Council.

A Federal Appeals Court in July overturned Silver’s 2015 conviction. [NYDN]Rich Bockmann
