WeWork signed a lease for two more floors at Cohen Brothers Realty’s 135 East 57th Street, expanding its office space in the tower to 125,000 square feet.
The co-working company now occupies nine floors in the 32-story tower. It initially took four floors in early 2016, before adding three more in November. Savitt Partners represented the tenant.
The two floors WeWork is now taking were previously occupied by online investment firm E-Trade.
WeWork struck two monster deals this week – paying $850 million for Lord & Taylor’s flagship building on Fifth Avenue and paying $785 million for a London office complex owned by the Blackstone Group. [CO] — Konrad Putzier
