Halcyon planning 33-story resi tower on the Greenpoint waterfront

Firm already filed plans for 14-story, affordable building nearby

Halcyon Management is planning to build a 33-story, 532-unit building in Greenpoint, as part of the first phase of its development on the waterfront.

This initial phase includes two buildings, according to a representative for Halcyon TRData LogoTINY. The 33-story building would be among the tallest new buildings on the Greenpoint waterfront, according to Curbed, which first reported the news.

Halcyon first filed plans for the other building in the first phase in September 2015. However, those particular filings have since been updated to show plans for a 14-story building with 222 affordable units.

The Department of Buildings plans show the project would feature a park this is the length of the development, and a pedestrian walkway that goes from West Street through towards the East River, according to Curbed.

Correction: The tower will not be the tallest on the Greenpoint waterfront, but one of the tallest.
