Moinian plans Midwood religious facility for Persian community

Center will be the home of the Persian Congregation of Flatbush

Joe Moinian, who’s at work developing a temple to commerce in Hudson Yards, is planning to build an actual temple in Midwood.

The Iranian Jewish developer filed plans with the city Department of Buildings to construct a five-story home for the Persian Congregation of Flatbush spanning 27,573 square feet at 1711 Coney Island Avenue.

The congregation, which is currently located a short walk away at 1434 Ocean Parkway, bought the site in 2007 for $775,000.

Moinian could not be immediately reached for comment.
