Top Cushman & Wakefield executive Peter Hennessy was fired on Thursday. It wasn’t immediately clear why.

“At Cushman & Wakefield, we believe in working collaboratively, displaying high ethical behavior and treating fellow employees and clients with the utmost respect,” the brokerage’s tri-state president John Santora wrote in a memo to employees, Commercial Observer reported. “It is those qualities that have guided the firm through its first 100 years, and we’re confident that those qualities will serve us well into the future.”

Hennessy declined to comment to The Real Deal.

He served as president of DTZ’s New York tri-state region until 2015, when the brokerage merged with Cushman. At that point, he became an executive vice chairman. Prior to DTZ, he headed Cassidy Turley’s tri-state operations. [CO]Konrad Putzier
