Ripco Real Estate has plucked retail broker Geoff Bailey from SCG Retail, following a series of recruits in recent months and a bid to deepen ties to the outer boroughs.

Bailey — who recently led the leasing team at Tangram for SCG, the monster 1.2 million square-foot mixed-use development in Flushing, Queens — started at Ripco last week, the Commercial Observer reported. Bailey primarily represents landlords and worked with LIVWRK on 160 Van Brunt Street in Red Hook and BFC Partners on 292 Atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill during his time at SCG.

“Ripco has a stronger presence in the boroughs, which is where the foundation of my business is,” Bailey told the publication.

After a stint in investment sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services, Bailey went to Brooklyn-centric TerraCRG before joining SCG in 2013, according to the report.

Mark Kaplan, the COO and principal at Ripco, said he brought on Bailey for his longstanding relationships with landlords and tenants in the outer boroughs.
