Douglas Elliman’s chief marketing officer has resigned after just a month on the job.

Samantha Yanks resigned Thursday morning, sources at the company said, becoming the latest executive to pass through Elliman’s marketing department, which has changed direction several times over the past few years.

Yanks joined Elliman after serving as editor-in-chief for Hamptons and Gotham magazines.

“We wish Samantha all the best in her next venture,” a spokesperson for Elliman said Thursday. Natalie Gilmore, vice president of marketing, will oversee day-to-day operations.

Yanks could not immediately be reached. The reasons for her abrupt departure remain unclear. Elliman has spent heavily on advertising and marketing in recent years, even as its marketing department has been something of a revolving door.

Dana DeVito, who as senior vice president of marketing spearheaded the firm’s multimillion brand campaign “It’s Time for Elliman,” left the company in April.

She’d been Elliman’s highest-ranking marketing executive since 2016, when she replaced Nicole Oge, who left the firm after a two-year marketing blitz.

In hiring Yanks, Elliman sought a chief marketing officer who could expand the department following Elliman’s aggressive national expansion, achieved both through building out teams across the country and acquisitions of firms such as Los Angeles-based Teles Properties and Boston-based Otis & Ahearn.
