The Westfield could soon build nearly 300 apartments on its mall property on Main Street, the Fairfield County Business Journal reported. The developer has submitted a plan to build 290 apartments to Trumbull’s Planning and Zoning Commission. “By broadening development opportunities available to Westfield, the property can far exceed its current economic contribution to Trumbull, while also bringing new, exciting offerings to the town,” the mall said in a statement. The commission will review the proposal at a public hearing on July 19. [FBJ]
