Jamaica is getting another new hotel with 151 rooms.

The building from company MP Hospitality will be at 97-18 Sutphin Boulevard, close to JFK Airport, according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings. It will stand nine stories tall and span about 50,000 square feet, and it will replace a one-story parking facility.

The project will be a Tru Hotel by Hilton, and it should be ready to open in about two years, according to MP Hospitality spokesperson Hemal Patel.

An analysis by The Real Deal in November found that Jamaica was the second most popular neighborhood in the outer boroughs for new hotels, with developers planning 26 projects for the neighborhood since 2010. Long Island City placed first with 45 projects.
