The Southampton Town Planning Board found plans from Kimco Realty to build a 17,000-square-foot Marshalls store posed “no environmental issues” to the surrounding area, Newsday reported. The board voted six to zero to say an environmental review wasn’t necessary for the project to move forward. The town’s zoning board of appeals will still have to issue variance for the project to get to the final approval. Opponents worry the development could impact groundwater and spark traffic headaches. [Newsday]
