The owners of Mocomanto in Southampton Village have submitted new plans to renovate the Victorian estate, which they hope will appease neighbors’ concerns, 27east reported. The owners, Ken and Ana Fox, had their previous plans approved, but critics felt they wouldn’t preserve the 125-year-old home’s architectural features. The owners want the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation to amend their prior approval of the project, which would double the size of the home, known as the “Jewel of Southampton Village.” The Foxes hired architect Arthur Fraser, who consulted neighbors to develop a new plan. A vote on the revised renovations will take place on Nov. 26. [27east]
