Tech company subleases 40K sf at pricey space on Fifth Ave

Unqork has inked an 11-year deal at 114 Fifth Avenue

Software company Unqork is subleasing almost 40,000 square feet of space on Fifth Avenue.

The firm, which focuses on app development, has leased just under 40,000 square feet from Univision Communications at 114 Fifth Avenue, owned by L&L Holding Company, Columbia Property Trust and Allianz, according to sources familiar with the deal. The deal is for 11 years, and asking rents were said to be in the $90s per square foot.

Unqork was represented by Jason Birk and Steven Marvin from Olmstead Properties, and Univision was represented by Carl Eriksen, James Ackerson and James Einstein from CBRE.

Representatives for Olmstead and CBRE declined to comment on the deal.

Other tenants in the building include Mashable, MasterCard and Capital One.
