Five priciest homes new to market include 1897 townhouse

While most New Yorkers were preparing for Thanksgiving last week, some agents and their clients listed homes ranging from about $7.5 million to just under $9 million.

Combined, the top five listings in New York City totaled $41.3 million. Here’s a look at the most expensive ones between Nov. 25 through Dec. 1, according to an analysis of StreetEasy and Compass data.

1. The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton Penthouse | Battery Park City | $8.975M
Penthouse 2C on top of the Ritz-Carlton in Lower Manhattan spans two levels and has a wrap-around terrace. The unit is serviced by the hotel below and spans nearly 4,300 square feet. It has four bedrooms, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a master bathroom with an oversized steam shower, deep tub and views of the Hudson River. Time Equities Brokerage’s Javier Lattanzio has the listing.

2. 32 East 1st Street | East Village | $8.7M
This sponsor unit at Aore Holdings’ new 30-unit condominium project was listed by Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team. The three-bedroom unit is one of the building’s three penthouses with a 1,200-square-foot outdoor terrace that includes a kitchen and grilling station, as well as lighting and sound systems. The 2,766-square-foot unit has an open-concept living and kitchen area with a built-in fireplace. Fredrik Eklund, John Gomes and Ryan Stenta are the listing agents.

3. 560 West 24th Street | West Chelsea | $8.15M
The four-bedroom condo fills the entire seventh floor of the 11-story building developed by Adam Gordon and Tavros Holdings. The pre-war building was converted into eight loft-like units designed by Tribeca-based architect Steven Harris. C24 Gallery occupies the ground floor. The 3,200-square-foot apartment has a private elevator entrance that opens into a gallery space, a study and library. It was last for sale in 2015 and was previously listed as a rental for $25,000 per month. The listing agent is the Corcoran Group’s Cornelia Dobrovolsky.

4. Beckford Tower Residence 17B | Upper East Side | $7.95M
The nearly 3,500-square-foot sponsor unit has four bedrooms, a dining room, and a marble master bathroom with heated floors. Interiors were designed by William Sofield’s firm Studio Sofield, which also designed JDS Development’s 111 West 57th Street. The Beckford House & Tower 104-apartment complex was developed by Icon Realty Management. The listing agents are Douglas Elliman’s Barbara Russo, Danielle Engelbardt, Jordan Hoch and Wasley Stanton.

5. 32 West 85th Street | Upper West Side | $7.55M
The seven-bedroom townhouse dates back to 1897 and is located in the Central Park West Historic District. The 17-foot-wide home spans more than 5,000 square feet and has air rights that allow for an addition on the roof and another 1,000 square feet in the cellar. The home also has a 547-square-foot garden and a rear extension from a previous renovation. It was originally designed by prolific pre-Depression residential architect George Frederick Pelham.
