Downtown Brooklyn condo was borough’s priciest contract last week

Borough’s luxury deals included 10 condos, 8 houses and 1 co-op

A condo in Downtown Brooklyn was the priciest residential deal to go into contract in the borough last week.

The four-bedroom unit at 11 Hoyt Street went for $5.6 million. It spans 3,277 square feet.

Overall, Brooklyn saw 19 contracts signed for $2 million or more last week, split between 10 condos, eight houses and one co-op, according to the latest report from Compass. The report looks at homes in the borough priced at $2 million or above based on the last publicly available asking prices.

The average price of those contracts was about $2.9 million, and the total volume was about $55.7 million. The properties spent an average of 87 days on the market and sold at an average of 2 percent less than their asking prices. It was a busier week than the one before, when 10 contracts were signed for a total of $29.3 million.

The second priciest deal to go into contract, at about $5.4 million, was for a condo at 1 Clinton Street in Brooklyn Heights. The four-bedroom unit spans 2,484 square feet.

Other notable Brooklyn deals last week included a townhouse at 523-527 Hicks Street in Carroll Gardens for $3.75 million and a co-op at 200 Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights for about $2.4 million.
