Hamptons homes have been selling at high speeds and high prices in recent months sparked by city residents searching for spacious escapes during the pandemic. The median home price in Suffolk County was $535,000 in August, a record high for the county and a 17.6 percent increase from August 2020.

However, demand has caused housing supply to dwindle. Listings in the county have dropped 26 percent from a year ago. It takes just two months to sell a home in Suffolk County, a report from OneKey MLS found.
