It’s nearly showtime.

We hope you’ve marked your calendars, because The Real Deal’s NYC Real Estate Showcase + Forum is back and better than ever.

As promised, New York City’s premier real estate event is locked and loaded with an array of speakers who are ready to dish on the red hot residential market, the future of development, the latest innovations in proptech and much more.

We’ve held up our end of the deal. Now it’s your turn. Register for the showcase by this Friday, March 25 to secure the early bird rate, along with an additional 20 percent off for TRD subscribers.

Join us May 19 at the Metropolitan Pavilion to hear from the biggest leaders in real estate. In the meantime, here are a few of the hottest names on the list.

Scott Durkin

Scott Durkin is no stranger to the spotlight. The self-identified “country boy” rode dressage growing up before trading the equestrian life for a dance scholarship in the city.

Now, he’s best known as the CEO of Douglas Elliman, which made its debut on the stock market last year in the midst of a booming housing market. Under Durkin and executive chairman Howard Lorber, the firm reported a 44 percent jump in operating income for the third quarter — not too shabby for its first earnings report — and placed second in TRD’s annual ranking of Manhattan’s top residential brokerages in 2021.

Ryan Serhant

Former hand model turned celebrity real estate agent Ryan Serhant fled the nest in the early days of the pandemic to launch his own eponymous, all-caps brokerage, which debuted at 11th on TRD’s aforementioned ranking, closing $235 million worth of sales in Manhattan in its first year. Now, he’s ready to take on the metaverse.

Earlier this month, the “future-obsessed and mobile-first” SERHANT announced plans to launch UNIVERS, a platform that will allow its agents to collaborate in an increasingly virtual work environment. SERHANT the company has not told us exactly how UNIVERS will fit into its day-to-day operations, but catch Serhant the CEO at the showcase and maybe he’ll tell you.

Bess Freedman

Despite leading a company with more than 2,500 agents, Brown Harris Stevens’ Bess Freedman knows the value of human connection in real estate. For TRD’s Master Class video series, the CEO explained how she made it work in the middle of a merger — and a pandemic.

In another interview, when asked what would become of its office, Freedman said they’d be in the building, but that “at Brown Harris Stevens, receptionists will sit behind plexiglass and agents won’t be side-by-side.”

Never one to let physical barriers get in the way of personal connection, Freedman will speak at the showcase in May, along with an array of other real estate superstars. The only thing standing between you and her astute insights, though, is your registration.

Secure your spot by the end of the work week — or better yet, just do it today.
