Mall coming to Red Hook waterfront

The old Revere Sugar Refinery
site on the Red Hook waterfront is going to become a
400,000-square-foot shopping mall. Thor Equities is developing the
site, at 280 Richards Street. The development plans include 376,000
square feet of retail space, with an anchor tenant rumored to be BJ’s
Wholesale Club. A parking garage will be next door to the mall, as well
as 75,000 square feet of esplanade along the waterfront. Joe Sitt, CEO
of Thor Equities, reportedly already has financing for the project.
