Flushing’s CUNY Law School is saying goodbye to its cramped Main Street location and moving to 2 Court Square, next to the Citicorp building, in Long Island City. The new location, which is accessible by seven subway lines, the Long Island Railroad and a number of buses, will be a major upgrade for the city’s only public law school. The Flushing campus is accessible by only one public bus, affords limited parking, and is 75,000 square feet smaller. “We’re bursting at the seams in our current facility,” said Michelle Anderson, the law school’s dean. “We’ve been trying to find a new location and building for more than a decade.” The law school plans to relocate in 2011.
