The building had been in limbo, with a 2007 loan agreement going into foreclosure proceedings and the owner, an entity known as 56 Walker Street LLC, declaring bankruptcy, as previously reported. Some units were on the market in 2008, asking between $2.2 million and $2.999 million, though the property had not yet received its certificate of occupancy and lis pendens were on file, Curbed said.

Now, Eric Malley of Sotheby’s International Realty is listing the entire building, which has 18,500 square feet and 1,604 square feet in the basement. There is a commercial unit, a live/work unit that can be used for commercial uses, and four residences. [Curbed]Zachary Kussin
