UPDATED, 4:06p.m., May 23: Comedian Bill Murray’s former penthouse duplex at the Villager hit the rental market only three weeks ago, but the rent has already dropped by $2,000 — from $14,500 to $12,500, the New York Post reported.

Developer Manhattan Skyline manages and owns the landmarked six-story, 31-unit building at 450 Sixth Avenue. The penthouse has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A spiral staircase leads to the master bedroom on the second floor, which also has a private terrace, the Post said.

Murray moved from the apartment a short time ago, according to the newspaper. The original “Saturday Night Live” star had been living there since shortly before his wife, Jennifer Butler, filed for divorce in 2008. The unit officially went on the market May 1.

In the Village, Manhattan Skyline also manages the six-story Left Bank at 77 West 15th Street. [NYP, 1st item]Mark Maurer
