Uma Thurman pays $10M for novelist’s River House pad

Uma Thurman has paid $10 million for novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford’s 13-room co-op at the iconic River House.

The long-legged star of “Kill Bill,” and other films, who sold her seven-bedroom Greenwich Village townhouse for $12 million last year, recently passed the co-op board approval process at the 52nd Street residence on the East River, sources told the New York Post. No mean feat, as the board has previously refused both actress Diane Keaton and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt.

Bradford has lived in the apartment for the last 18 years, according to the Post, and told the newspaper that Thurman and her three children “will be a wonderful addition to the building.”

The building is also in talks to convert its private club into a $130 million, 62,000-square-foot residence that would make it the city’s priciest home. [NYP] – Hiten Samtani
