The New York skyline, Ayn Rand famously stated, is “the will of man made visible.” Harry Macklowe’s 432 Park Avenue – slated to be the tallest in the Western hemisphere, when complete, in 2015 – is excellent supporting evidence for Rand’s claim.

The forthcoming condominium tower, profiled in Vanity Fair’s “Eminent Domains” series, touts amenities such as a private restaurant for residents. As for the views from the 1,398-foot-tall skyscraper — the narrator declares that “from the upper floors the Empire State Building will appear as just another tower.”

Macklowe Properties recently stepped up its overseas marketing of the tower, sending sales representatives to Moscow’s Ritz-Carlton hotel to court potential buyers, as The Real Deal reported. [Vanity Fair]  – Hiten Samtani
