Developer Serge Hoyda is looking to bring a six-story residential building to a Lower East Side lot that was part of a community garden for over three decades.

The building, at 157 Norfolk Street, will have six full-floor apartments and rise to a height of 70 feet, according to a plan examination application filed with the Department of Buildings last week, spotted by BuzzBuzzHome.

The architect of record is Kutnicki Bernstein Architects, according to BuzzBuzzHome.

Hoyda’s S&H Equities, which owns half the land of the community garden known as the Children’s Magical Garden, near Stanton Street, built a fence through the middle of 2,500-square-foot space in May, infuriating locals in the process. [BuzzBuzzHome]  – Hiten Samtani
