Icelandic financier and convicted fraudster Jón Ásgeir Jóhannesson has listed his apartment at 50 Gramercy Park North for $10.9 million. The 16th-floor unit is nearly 3,000 square feet and has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.

It became a topic of controversy after a former tenant of Jóhannesson, Donald Trump associate Paolo Zampolli, sued him for installing Ikea furniture in the kitchen and dropping chicken wings from the penthouse above, which he also owned.

In 2011, Jóhannesson sold that duplex penthouse for $22 million after his financial wrongdoings came to the attention of authorities. The pad is now back on the market for $14.9 million.

In January, designer Karl Lagerfeld sold his apartment in the building for $4.5 million, over $2 million less than what he paid for the home in 2006. [Curbed]  – Hiten Samtani
