L+M to build Harlem apartments, community space
UPDATE, 3:52 p.m., Dec. 17: In partnership with Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, L+M Development Partners has proposed a seven-story Harlem mixed-use building with 16,704 square feet of community facility space, according to city Department of Buildings documents.
The 75,921-square-foot property at 260 West 153rd Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Macombs Place will also hold 51 apartments, starting on the third floor. Chinatown-based Curtis + Ginsberg Architects was hired to design.
L+M is busy further south as well. The developer won the contract, with a handful of other firms, to build the 1.9 million-square-foot Seward Park urban-renewal project near the Williamsburg Bridge.
