Upper West Side-based developer OasesRE wants to build 45 condominium units on top of a post office in Hell’s Kitchen.

The three-story building at 320-322 West 52nd Street, between Eighth and Ninth avenues, would gain an extra two floors for the project, which the developer has dubbed Radio City Lofts. The residential component would cover 42,500 square feet, while the post office would continue to operate down below.

OasesRE hired Little Italy-based architects Architecture Outfit and Financial District-based Gary H. Silver Architects to handle design, according to BuzzBuzzHome. The developer is also seeking air rights, but it was not immediately clear from whom.

Elsewhere in Hell’s Kitchen, the Clinton Housing Development Corporation, along with developers Taconic Investment Partners and Ritterman Capital, are planning 210 units of affordable housing along West 52nd and West 53rd streets from 10th to 11th avenues, as previously reported. [BuzzBuzzHome]Mark Maurer
