The former Watchtower buildings in Dumbo are being rebranded as a high-tech office complex dubbed Dumbo Heights.

The Kushner Companies-owned buildings, purchased for $375 million last year, are in the process of being revamped to accommodate a high-tech campus with accoutrements like a gourmet market, roof deck, pet-friendly spaces, daycare facilities and bicycle storage, the New York Daily News reported.

The new monicker of Dumbo Heights, meanwhile, is aimed to appeal to “innovators” with an eye on the neighborhood, the paper reported.

“We do see this as a campus, not just a bunch of interconnected buildings,” Asher Abehsera of LIVWRK Holdings told the Daily News of the 1.2 million-square-foot complex.

Asking rents in the locale start at just under $60 per square foot, as the $100 million overhaul continues. The two-building complex is slated to open and receive its first occupants in the first quarter of 2015, according to the paper. [NYDN]Julie Strickland
