A 75-block stretch in the center of the Bronx is about to see a tidal wave of affordable housing.

Community Board 6 will weigh in next week on two residential developments planned for a recently rezoned stretch of East Tremont and West Farms, according to the New York Daily News.

Nearby, Compass Residences — a 10-building, 1,300-unit mega-complex — is already being developed by former City Council Speaker Gifford Miller.

“It really has created a new kind of neighborhood for the central Bronx,” Radame Perez, chief operating officer of Mastermind Development, told the Daily News.

Perez’s company is developing a 13-story building, with 256 units of below-market-rate housing on private land at East Tremont Avenue between Webster and Park Aves.

The $90 million, 350,000- square-foot complex is dubbed “Tremont Renaissance,” and boasts amenities like a fitness center, children’s play area and rooftop promenades.

A few blocks away, another $70 million, two-building complex is set to rise on a vacant parcel at the intersection of West Farms Road, Boston Road and Longfellow Avenue.

That fully affordable project by developer Pravin Anajwala Tower and the Best Development Group is scheduled to break ground in January. [NYDN] Christopher Cameron
