Actor says neighborhood provides best bang for the buck in Manhattan

Broadway and television star Neil Patrick Harris is a nester. In a recent interview with Charlie Rose, he explained why he and his husband chose to buy a home in Harlem.

Harris added that he wanted to be in Manhattan. The Tony Awards host and his family bought the 8,000-square-foot, five-story, five-bedroom home at 2036 Fifth Avenue last year.

“We looked at places that were bridges away,” Harris said, “but we wanted to be in it.”

Meanwhile, even though the couple and their two children have moved into the $3.6 million home, renovation is still ongoing. [Harlem Gal] and [Curbed] — Claire Moses
