Facebook is holding an official unveiling ceremony tonight to show off its new 185,000-square-foot space at the Vornado Realty Trust building at 770 Broadway. The social-media titan sees itself as a “catalyst” for the tech industry in New York City and expects the new Frank Gehry-designed space to serve as a recruiting tool.

Vornado has owned the 15-story, 940,000-square-foot property since 2006. AOL and several other technology firms are among the tenants. [WSJ]Mark Maurer
