The 43-story, 88-unit tower at East 43rd Street and First Avenue broke neighborhood records when it opened in 2013 with a $70 million duplex penthouse listing.

A 14th-floor unit at Steven Witkoff’s 10 Madison Square West was the week’s second largest contract. The corner unit includes four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and spans approximately 3,300 square feet. It’s the last available apartment that sold in the 125-unit building. The price comes out to $4,231 per square foot, which is a 61 percent increase over the original price in the 2013 offering plan.

Last month, a combined penthouse in the building entered contract for $35 million.  [Olshan Realty] — Claire Moses
