Spotted Pig owners April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman are planning to open up a restaurant on four stories of 70 Pine Street.

The restaurant and lounge will take up floors 62 through 66 of the landmarked tower, the New York Post reported. Rose Associates is in the process of converting the former AIG tower into residential development.

Bloomfield and Friedman also operate the Breslin and the John Dory at The Ace Hotel On West 29th Street.

“We hope we are doing this extraordinary project. This is one of New York’s most beautiful buildings and the top floors are breathtaking,” Friedman told the Post in an email. “I’ll let you know as soon as we are definitely doing it.”

The restaurant, which will likely also have a lounge component, will seat roughly 200 guests. [NYP, 1st] — Claire Moses
