Luxury real estate took a breather last week, with only 19 contracts signed on properties $4 million and up, the lowest since January, according to Olshan Realty’s latest luxury report.
Of the homes that went into contract, the average asking price was $7.2 million; homes spent an average of 255 days on the market.
The biggest deal of the week was a penthouse at 55 Warren Street in Tribeca listed for $13.995 million. The original asking price, when the duplex condo hit the market in April 2013, was $16 million. The home has 5,924 square feet with four bedrooms, 4.5 baths and a 1,300-square-foot terrace with a swimming pool.
The second biggest deal was another penthouse, at 500 West 21st Street, asking $12.85 million. The original price, when developer Sherwood Equities listed the condo in May, was $16 million.
