Advertising and marketing giant GroupM is reportedly set to expand its space at Silverstein Properties’ 3 World Trade Center by up to 300,000 square feet.

GroupM signed a deal to anchor the 80-story, 2.8 million-square-foot tower two years ago – agreeing to take 515,000 square feet in the Richard Rogers-designed building, which is set to open in 2018.

But the advertising firm is now looking to add at least 150,000 square feet in a deal expected to be completed next month, according to the New York Post, with one source noting the expansion “could easily reach 300,000 feet.”

The news comes on the heels of sports broadcaster SportsNet New York, or SNY, agreeing a 17-year lease for 83,000 square feet at the adjacent 4 World Trade Center, also owned and managed by Silverstein.
