Total of 100 contracts signed so far in November: Olshan report

Sellers of luxury pads have a lot to be thankful for this week, with 32 contracts signed last week at $4 million and up, according to Olshan realty’s luxury market report.

That brings the total to 100 contracts signed this month, representing $797.4 million in sales volume.

The total weekly asking price sales volume was nearly $233 million, with an average asking price of $7.28 million. The average number of days that properties spend on the market was 189.

The No. 1 contract was a townhouse at 7 East 84th Street asking $29 million, down from the original price of $30 million last year. The seller, tenant advocate and lawyer David Rosenholc, acquired the six-story house in 1996 for an undisclosed price. Measuring 13,000 square feet, it has eight bedrooms, eight fireplaces and a one-car garage.

The No. 2 contract was a penthouse condo at Manhattan House at 200 East 66th Street, developed by O’Connor Capital Partners, asking $12.5 million. With 4,026 square feet, it has four bedrooms and two fireplaces and a huge, wraparound terrace measuring 2,143 square feet. [Olshan Realty] – E.B. Solomont
