Depomed, a maker of pain medications, is moving its headquarters to north suburban Lake Forest, taking space in an office park alongside other pharmaceutical companies.

The new headquarters will be in the Landmark Conway Farms office park at 100 South Saunders Road, Crain’s reported. The company had been based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

CBRE’s Kyle Kamin, Dan Lyne and James Otto represented Depomed. They could not be immediately reached to comment on the deal.

The new operation will be home to about 70 jobs and some of the recruitment to fill them will happen locally.

The company expects to open its doors at the new facility by summer, taking a temporary space in the building during the build-out phase of the space.

The Landmark Conway Farms property is also home to competitor Horizon Pharma, which mounted a failed attempt to acquire Depomed in 2015. Abbott Nutrition, a subsidiary of pharmaceutical behemoth Abbott, is headquartered nearby. [Crain’s] — Scott Klocksin
