Vermilion will build condo, townhome development in Wicker Park

The 43-condos and 12 townhouses will rise near Polish Triangle

Vermilion Development will build a new residential complex in Wicker Park, with a 43-unit condo and 12 townhouses.

Dubbed The Alcove M.D.P., the project will will rise just west of the Polish Triangle, near Milwaukee and Ashland avenues, Crain’s reported. Hirsch Architects designed the project, which will replace an existing parking lot.

The development will consist of the seven-story condo and a row of four-story townhomes. The two- to four-bedroom condos will range from 1,400 to 2,400 square feet and run from $600,000 to $1.1 million. The townhouses will have four or five bedrooms, range from 2,900 to 3,400 square feet and be priced from $1.1 to $1.3 million.

The condos will come with one parking space and the townhouses with a two-car garage. Every unit will have either a balcony or first-floor patio.

Sales will start in April, and are being handled by On Collaborative and Luxury Living Chicago Realty. Construction will being later this year with occupancy planned for late 2020.  [Crain’s] — John O’Brien
